Time for a bit of a bit of a text update rather than just pics.

Tuesday – 1st September

Got to Southampton with plenty of time to spare. Only had one near miss on the motorway which is good going for Joanne :)

Boarded the boat and proceeded to the room to dump bags and then to the bar. Did a bit of exploring to get our bearings and then went for some lunch. Bit of a fret over the luggage. Took a long time to turn up and when it did we were missing one bag. Asked at reception and they said not to worry it will turn up soon. And it did. Phew. Had all the shoes and chargers in it, would have been a disaster! Formal night wearing trainers!

Weather was not so good. Once out of the Solent it started getting rocky, enough to put me off my food, which is saying something! Shell was fine and I was better after some pills. The bad weather continued throughout the night.
Wednesday – 2nd September

Bad weather continued today, really choppy crossing the Bay of Biscay and the gale force winds and rain put paid to any ideas of being outside. The British Summer just does not want to let go. Shell felt it today so we were both on the pills. Didn’t help Shell much as she was the one with food problems in the evening.  Had a few drinks and called it a night.

Thursday – 3rd September

This is more like it! Not a cloud in sight and a gentle breeze, glorious! Seems we passed the sign marked ‘Med Summer this way’ overnight (not looking forward to going back and passing the ‘Rubbish British weather this way’ sign on the way back).  Spent most of the day on deck, then grabbed some lunch, had a couple of drinks and chilled on the balcony soaking up more sun.

Two of the pools out of action today, seems they are doing some maintenance while we are onboard. Not sure why they couldn’t do that while we were docked in Southampton or even tomorrow while people are onshore in Cadiz.
